Any post-merger experiences on this? The website says nothing about checking a stroller only with an infant/child on the reservation. I am bringing a stroller back from the US for a friend, and the box dimensions run about 69" (h+w+d), which is technically oversized. I was going to bring the stroller itself and have it bagged. I will only have only one other checked bag.

We are past the stroller stage for the moment, but I had no problems in 2011.

As I always fly on separate PNR's from the family and often at different times, I did check strollers with no baby on the reservation. On some of these, the baby was not on the same plane, and even when he was, the agent did not know that, as my family checked in separately. They always just took the stroller without any question.

I will also note that I always had three checked bags as well, so the stroller was a 4th item that would have been a charge if they considered it to be baggage.

I do think that if it is still in the box, then there might be an issue.

I've checked a stroller numerous times when traveling with our kids but I was going to ask someone to bring one over to the UK for me. They will be traveling without kids and it isn't worth it if they get hit with a $200 oversized bag fee.

According to Amazon, the dimensions are 31" x 24" x 9.75" when , but collapsed which would put it over the 62 linear inches but since strollers are relatively common i didn't know if they would treat it as oversized or not.

I have repositioned child gear without children domestically & have never had a problem. internationally, I've run into problems with my kids on non -US airlines. I would think that if you sky cap, that could work, but you are taking a risk.
