- As the card name suggests, a full United Club membership is included. If you already have a United Club membership, once approved for the card, youll be refunded for any unused portion of your membership as long as the refund is $15 or more (the refund is applicable to annual and three year memberships)
- There are some key benefits, too. Just like our Presidential Plus Card, the new Club Card is designed to enhance your total travel experience. Heres a list of the benefits (details for each can be found here):
- Earn 50% more miles on ALL purchases. This is a new benefit. Cardmembers will earn at least 50% more miles on all purchases with the new Club Card. Specifically, for each $1 spent, Cardmembers will earn 1.5 miles, and when purchasing United tickets, the miles jump to 2 miles for every $1 spent on tickets
- Free first and second standard checked bags for the Cardmember and one companion
- Premier Access travel services, including priority check-in, security, boarding and baggage handling
- Book award tickets close to the departure date without a fee. Well waive the fee for booking award tickets 21 days or less prior to departure. This benefit is reserved for certain Cardmembers and certain Premier levels
- Get complimentary upgrades on award tickets (applicable for Premier members). Cardmembers who are also Premier members will be eligible to receive their complimentary upgrade benefits (where available) even when traveling on an award ticket in economy class
- No foreign transaction fees
- Cardmembers will have access to last-seat award availability (applicable to general members)
- As a Cardmember, miles dont expire
- Invitation to special Avis benefits and Hyatt Platinum Elite status
- Inside Access from Chase. As a Cardmember, you will be delighted with opportunities to attend private, curated, once-in-a-lifetime experiences. Visit InsideAccess.com to learn about upcoming events
- Access to the Chases Luxury Hotels and Resorts Collection special rates and benefits
- Premier travel and purchase protection, including primary auto rental collision damage coverage
- 24/7 Concierge Services
For those of you who already have a credit card with Chase, heres some more information:
- Already have a Mileage Plus Club Visa Card? Youll find that the key differences are that the new Club Card has the added benefits of free checked bags, Premier Access, 50% mileage bonus on all purchases, award tickets close to departure date without a fee and complimentary upgrades on award tickets (applicable for Premier members where available). The new Club Card does not award Premier Qualifying Miles for purchases. More specific information about your current card and the new Club Card will arrive in the mail in late April
- Already have the Presidential Plus Card? The key difference is that the Presidential Plus Card awards Flexible Premier Qualifying Miles for purchases whereas the new Club Card awards a 50% mileage bonus on all purchases. Both cards earn 2 miles for every $1 spent on United tickets. If youre interested in changing over to the new Club Card, simply call the number on the back of your current card to discuss your options. While the Presidential Plus Card and its benefits will continue, we are not taking any additional applications for new Presidential Plus accounts
- Already have another United card from Chase? If you currently have another United card from Chase and want to switch, call the number on the back of your current card to discuss your options
For a full list of details, and to apply for the new Club Card, please visit MileagePlusClub.com.
As always, please let us know your questions.

Shrug. Until a year or so ago you got the free bag no matter what card you used for the ticket despite what the terms said. I'm not counting on the benefit remaining, but I'm logging in before checking availability for now.

Its still frustrating even with almost every EMV card, everyone is so surprised when a receipt spits out asking for a signature and to retain it for their 'records'.
The Barclay+ card works where most do not, i.e. train tickets from automated kiosks that require pin. Still awkward at restaurants where it will do chip+sig, as its an [default] option at restaurants, not at train kiosks.

It's not official, but it is a benefit. It's probably due to a technical limitation, and they'll probably kill it eventually.

FWIW, I am a kettle and have the Club card. I just tested it, and I do get access to XN space.
I guess it's an unpublished benefit, but I hope they don't take it away... I actually didn't realize I didn't technically get this until just now.

I agree the signature thing is still dumb but at least I know the card will friggen work.

Chase MP Club Card Benefits - 2015
I can't find a recent thread about this, but wanted to get clarity on current benefits of the Chase United MileagePlus Club Card.
When this card was introduced it came with Hyatt Platinum status plus some kind of Avis status. Others reported it was with Hertz. It seems things changed a lot.
None of this is referenced on the card's current website. Have these benefits been removed?
Also not listed on the site are discounts on premium wines/liquors available at the club when using the card that the bartender tells me about--what's the deal with this?
Finally, does 2X miles on UA purchases only apply to tickets or to UA spend generally (on board food, upgrade co-pays, other charges, etc)?
Is there a fee to have an extra card issued (i.e. a card that has no UC privileges but unified spend)? This is not mentioned either...
Thanks. I bought my UC membership the last year they offered 3-year deals. The fees for membership were lower then, my status was higher, and the three year deal reduced the cost even further. However, that runs out at the end of 2015 and it seems this card is the cheapest way to keep my UC membership which I've decided I want to hang on to.
I really hate to give up the value and flexibility of the Starwood points I earn with the AMEX SPG card that this UMPC card would replace. So I want to make sure I understand all the benefits before deciding.
Do people like this card for other reasons? What would you do?
Thanks all.

2. IDK.
3. All United spend is at 2x. This is not unique to this card, however. Explorer does this as well.
4. No.
5. I used it for a couple years because I don't have United status and my wife and I wanted to take 4 bags to Hawaii with us.
It waives the close-in booking fee on award travel.
The travel and purchase insurances are pretty good, but most are almost the same with CSP and Explorer. Also, the provider will try to exhaust you with multiple requests for records of different sorts to avoid paying out on purchase protection.

Thanks for the comments all. I do not necessarily think this wiki is up to date though. No reference to these other benefits (car rental, Hyatt) anywhere that I can find, not even in this book they gave me on the card's benefits here at the UC.
The booklet does confirm 2x miles on all United purchases, not just tickets, and CPUs for award travel (that someone else asked about). It does not suggest expanded availability to any Saver rewards (but does not preclude it either).
PS -- date on the back of this booklet is November 2014

Inconsistency in listed benefits is just something one needs to get use to.

I was referring to Hyatt and Hertz.
Thanks for the link to Hertz thing.
As far as "inconsistency," other than the website you referenced I am not aware of the Hertz benefit being mentioned in anything current. I can find no reference to the Hyatt benefit anywhere. The booklet has a 11/14 date and these benefits have not been (allegedly) added since then. It seems odd very unUnited-like to actually give mroe benefits than advertised as Jeff usually prefers to benefit reductions as a general rule of thumb (as us old timer Premier Executives can attest).
Anyway, one last question (if anyone knows)--I have some link where I enter my MP number and am offered an annual fee waiver for the first year rather than $100 statement credit which seems to be the general offer they've got running. Is this a regular offer for Premier members or current UC members or something? Or is it a limited time thing?
Thanks again.

No guarantees from last's year thread
My SO saw the ad but clicking did not work. Copy and pasting the URL for the link did, however. Go to united.com and login. Then in a second tab, enter the URL: https://www.theexplorercard.com/MPCl...-1623&cell=SXD
