I've had it in the back a few times flying TATL, but I wouldn't say it's consistent. it depends on where the point of departure is and i'm guessing how busy they are, plain and simple. But usually it's a "sorry you can't join us up front today, here's an amenity kit and thanks for your business".

on another note, I had an interesting conversation with the FA after a SFO-ORD flight the other day. I was waiting during deplaning to go back to E+ to get my bag after an on-board upgrade. The FA was confused why I ended up with an on-board upgrade. he said "I had 11 1ks up here [on a 737]. how would they get up here before you?" I explained to him that it was likely that they simply paid for it, since I was #2 on the upgrade list as of boarding behind one person (who I assume clearly used a RPU/GPU due to the pre-check-in checkmark). The point of the story was only that i'm always surprised how little knowledge of the system is really out there, even among FAs.

I find the "thank you for being global services and we appreciate your business" greeting to be pretty consistent on international flights, whether up front or in back. On domestic flights its 50/50. Very rarely on the UX regional jets.

Usually when I am in the back, and they acknowledge me, they will refuse to take my drink vouchers and offer to bring me some food from the front. I actually find it hard to use my vouchers each year.

Took the whole family to MCO last week. Flew through IAH and into B; the silver ghost was there to take us over to E. The Mrs. and the boys enjoyed it. Made the flight, after a close connection from MCI, by walking up the stairs and walked right to our seats. The GS agent went up the jetway and checked us in. About 10 minutes later 4 other passengers who were on the MCI flight came huffing and puffing on the flight as the door closed. I made sure not to make contact. We had all four seats in row 2. All in all a great trip.

Very true. I have had two cancellations on my way back across the Atlantic this year. In both cases the GS agent simply asked, what do you want to do?

And they did it.

Very cool.

My best experience so far was in AMS. I was a little late to check in and came through gate security with almost the entire plane jammed into the gate space.

The boarding agent (you clear boarding well before you actually board; you sit in a gate/lounge type of area before boarding) boarded me, saw that I was GS, and personally escorted me to the front of the boarding area. She thanked me and introduced me to the final boarding agent. The boarding agent approached me while I was blathering on the phone to tell me that she would like to board me. No PA call or yell-call, just a really nice touch.

Cheers.

Great IAH experience yesterday. International Connection my wife and I with GS status traveling with two kids. Couldn't use Global Entry as kids don't have it .... late coming in, tight connection, immigration a total mess (IAH lobby staff forcing people into lines with no immigration agents working etc) and customs was NUTS. Call to GS line and they had us come to checkin upstairs for TSA and then a waiting golf cart got us to a way off C gate at high speed. Protected us on a later flight but got us to the original one just in time.

I was there yesterday too, around 2pm and experienced the same thing. I saw a employee (not the GS gray/gold uniform) escort a guy through the GS line. I then noticed the sign and followed right behind him.

I think it has always been there, but preCheck is generally never that bad when I travel through IAH, so rarely would need to use it.

Just got the car service for the first time yesterday in Denver. My flight was delayed an hour and it left me with a 10 minute connection until my departure home.

GS agent was waiting for me with an iPad with my name on it and whisked me to my next gate. Got a ton of strange looks as we opened to door the the jet bridge and cut in line.

Wonderful service, but hope its something I don't have to do again! I was dreading the entire flight to denver about waiting 4 hours until the next flight home, or running from one end of DEN to the other.

If they are flying with you, you certainly can.
