Kudos again to NoLaGent and AquaDyne - quite correct (and my apologies for not following up sooner.) Also, apologies for another website where I used to post my pictures to - they decided to be greedy, so I've gone back and directly attached the photo to the earlier post.
FWIW, here's the A/C again at LAX on 07/07/17 preparing to fly to SAN - 'tho which gate was it departing from?

yep - correct. Many thanks Jose!
I actually walked down to, first 73 'tho that's really mostly used for 752s hoping to get a closer shot. From 75a, there's a glassed-in corridor that allows for de-planing to customs for international flights so the one shot I took has horrible reflections and light sources from everywhere. Oh well.

Quick spot: LAX, Gate 85 on 07/11/17 headed to IAD on a red eye last night.
Have a photo from the UC that's a bit washed out and fuzzy because of the distance and limited illumination and from a cell phone - I'll post if requested.

Now that I'm looking at it closer, I'm second guessing and thinking it might not be DEN... the second picture is deceiving!
