I could have sworn that UA Insider or someone from the company said that even after the merger all the retro liveries would remain. I would be sad to see them re-paint this bird.

That's cool, I also like the old United liveries and the one they introduced right before the merger. Let's have some variety.

Saw both land within 10 minutes of each other at SAN last Wednesday...that was surreal.

I've flown on both retro painted aircraft on the same one-way trip
(SFO-IAH on retro UA, IAH-BOS on retro CO)

Time to shine PJV33!

Look at this beautiful bird I found at IAH on 5/4 while on my way to SJU.

original picture is apparently massive and completely distorted the board viewing for me. now just a link.

I flew that one last month. I was quite confused until I saw the plaque in the entry way describing it as a retro.

While driving to work this morning I saw the CO retro 739 landing at ORD. This is the second time I got to see a retro jet fly over me. Cool.

I flew it EWR-SFO on Dec 13...my first time on a UA/CO retro jet. I saw it taxiing towards our gate, and got a little excited when I saw it turning I would have preferred the UA retro jet, but it'll do.

I got to fly in the retro CO in March from CZM to IAH. The best part was listening to the clueless people speculate on the plane's age and airworthiness.
