Looking through older photos, found one of N75436
Bonus—N171UA:
(that certainly helps date the first)
Also should be easy to place?
edit:
Not Denver—it's the other snow-prone hub!
Did UA ever have a 747 base in DEN? I might just be failing to recall.
Also just spotted a tulip in the retro-CO photo.

When did ORD de-ice away from the gate? That's what threw me off about it.
To stay on topic, I have a special affinity for this frame. It's the one that brought me from my hometown to my first base for post-training orientation and work.

(They were taken looking west from C, so just away from the gate.)

So it isn’t the oldest plane I’ll ever fly on?
Flew through LAX last night, and while taxiing to our gate we passed a plane parked on the ramp in what looked like VERY old CO livery.
It looked like either a 737 or A319 or A320 (couldn't get that great a view from my aisle seat) but the livery had a block stripe with "CONTINENTAL" on the tail and CONTINENTAL AIRLINES along the sides of the plane originating from an eagle under the cockpit on both sides.
Anyone seen this before or have any idea what it is? It looked pretty cool, like a throwback sort of one or few-off livery?
