In *A, mileage earning is based on the rules for the operating carrier
There are three key pieces of info needed
1. The operating carrier of the flight segment (how marketed / codeshare do not matter)
2. The fare class of the operating carrier. This can be a problem if purchased as codeshare because the codeshare's fare class is not relevant.
3. Program you are crediting

If crediting to United MileagePlus, see the partner earning tables to determine earnings (both RDMs and PQMs)

United Airlines (O, Premium Economy) onto Air NZ Fare Class

Quick question. Booked on the first NZ nonstop from JFK-AKL on the UA flight number 6751 in O class. While NZ does have a premium economy O class, I believe United O class for Premium Economy is the highest fare category in Premium Economy and doesn't map directly across...and in my Air NZ bookings it actually shows up as "First" which is wrong. Anyone know what UA O class maps across to in NZ? Thanks!

NZ PremEcon fare classes are U, E and O, A -- UA's codeshare O would likely map into either U (most likely) or E

Thanks confirming it was in fact U based on what appeared in terms of AP earnings. Now another question, this time with LH G class. Anyone know how this maps across to NZ? Or does this now need to go into the Lufthansa forum?

You might get a better answer in the LH forum... theoretically full-fare should still map to full-fare (U), but the delegation rule is A/O/E lowest available and does not provide for U:

Code:
IF VIA LH G- FARES
VIA NZ A REQUIRED WHEN AVAILABLE
IF VIA LH G- FARES
VIA NZ O REQUIRED WHEN AVAILABLE
IF VIA LH G- FARES
VIA NZ E REQUIRED WHEN OFFERED
   VIA NZ Y REQUIRED
This is not necessarily the rule used for mileage credit, but this is the application rule if pulling NZ native inventory for an LH G fare.

Trying to up-fare my sister on NH. She's currently on "S" when booked through United, anyone know is "U" on United.com is the same as ANA's economy-upgrade-eligible "U"?

I have tried to search without success, apologies in advance if this has been discussed.

I will be flying on UA R class (Premium Economy) but certain flights are operated by ANA, this time I unfortunately have to get the flight credited to TG ROP, and even ROP could not tell me what's the equivalent ANA fare class to be posted. I have a bad feeling I won't get mileage credit on this flight as UA R class could potentially be equal to ANA N class, while both are the exact same 3rd fare level of premium economy class (each airline has 3 fare classes 3rd being the cheapest), I am afraid TG ROP credits UA R at 100% and 0% on ANA N fare.

Does anyone have experience on this?

UA R class is definitely equal to NH N class. If TG doesn't give credit on that fare, you should credit that flight elsewhere.

Thank you so much for sharing the info on UA R Class on ANA flights.

Any thought on UA K class (operated by ANA)? Thank you.

UA K class almost certainly maps to NH K class.

Anyone have updates/insight on what percentage is credited to TK when it is a R class 016 ticket with UA flight number, but operated by ANA? Since ANA does not use R for premium economy, should I assume it credits to 0? or 70% for N? Who can I ask?
