Oh if wishing made it so - I've never gotten that lucky, and fly this route a handful of times a year. This would be a change I'd like ^

and we have had this discussion multiple times. BOS does not have the $ to support the p.s. fares that JFK-LAX/SFO command. hence why p.s. is only on the NY-california markets.
Says who? BOS-SFO is one of the biggest $$$ domestic markets. And there's no shortage of premium passengers on the route. On pmUA it was one of the hardest upgrades in the system (and they ran it mostly on 24 seat 752s), even on CR1s.

B6 has publicly stated that BOS-SFO is a possibility for Mint once they've deployed fully on the JFK side.

I vote for BOS-SFO as well - I have little doubt it would fill in the AM slot.

believe me...if the market was there, this would have been done a while ago and UA would have invested a ton of $ retrofitting more 757s to lie flat.

do you really think UA is going to dump millions into converting planes just so BOS-SFO can be p.s.? i doubt it.

To follow up on my post above. This is one data point, but at this time, all F seats LAX-BOS on Oct 13 nonstop is sold out. This is on B739, so 20 F seats. Sure, there may be mileage purchase or instrument upgrades, but I'm sure many of the F seats were bought, and there is very little or no chance of CPU.

I found out that there are 5 carriers on this market (AA, DL, UA, VX, B6), four with F. Interesting to see how the market will play out.

i agree with you. UA does not: LAX-BOS is one of the winter cuts.

zero flights/day starting jan 6. it blows my mind.

I know just a little while ago I was searching for thanksgiving flights between WAS and BOS and saw one on IAD-BOS, I think the sunday night after thanksgiving. Maybe not a PS config come to think of it, may have been international.

Your correct it's the international 752.

Once again Kacee beat me to it. I was on one of those OGG-LAX PS flights and chatted with the FA about the swap. We speculated that the regular 757 on that route was taken out for some maintenance, and a PS bird was subbed in.

ps Aircraft BOS-LAX 14NOV

Seatmap is showing ps 752.

If it is the case, too bad for me. I am flying BOS-JFK-LAX on American, but would have gladly flown ns on UNITED. I wonder if it will stick.

It's also an intl aircraft on tomorrow's 12 Nov BOS-LAX, although it went from F4 A4 at T-26 to F2 A2 at T-24.5 to F1 A1 at T-23.59 (we were looking to SDC 2 pax into "A" at roughly T-23.50…)

With few ns BOS-LAX on UNITED, I bet folks don't change plans much. On ps it's not uncommon to see some space from T-5 to T-2 as folks move to later flights. Good luck.

Hoping it sticks around for 3 more days... Looking good as of now. Interestingly enough it seems to be the same bird just doing turns the last few days.

Flew it last week - the seatbacks had the flyers for the premium wines, but I didn't actually ask whether they were catered as PS or not. 15th on the CPU list as a 1K on a Friday morning, so seems like there's a fair demand for premium or high fare classes on this route.
