"We Are United" -- 2001 Campaign/Video
This video link was posted on Cranky Flier's blog by MD, and might have been on this board at some point, but I couldn't find it via search.
Here's a UA employee video from 2008 about brand and airline. Watch it for how much has vanished or diminished in half a decade and how much value has been destroyed.

Actually, what I found interesting is the first two things in the video that define the UA brand are route network and aircraft (specifically the 777 fleet). Sound familiar?
The big difference of course is where it states that any airline can have these things and what makes UA special is it's people.
In 2008, this was a company starting to rise. In 2014, it's a company that touts the network and planes (which every airline can do), and makes it pretty clear that customer service is a necessary evil. I know it's a manufactured advertisement, but I wonder how many employees, regardless of their pre-merger affiliation, would be proud to say "I am United" today?
There are so many great UA employees that I think have been disengaged by this management team.

2:43 -- two Delta planes in the background.
This was uploaded by someone in 2008, I think it's a good bit older than that.
Palm was pretty much dead well before 2008.
Also, the "Rising Blue" livery was introduced in 2004, so a corporate marketing bit would likely have used current colors. So I'd probably date this as post-9/11 or so.

At the request of then-CEO Stephen Wolf, in 1993 United completely revised its branding and livery, with the collaboration of CKS Group, to a primarily grey and dark blue fuselage, with blue stripes on the tail.
In 1997, United commissioned Pentagram to update the brand. Pentagram soon decided to keep the "tulip", in view of its strong brand-recognition. Pentagram designed a new "UNITED" font that appeared in advertisements, signage and printed material, but did not appear on the aircraft themselves until United's next livery re-design. This arrived on February 18, 2004, when the "Rising Blue" (or "Blue Tulip") livery was introduced, intended to signal a fresh start once the company emerged from bankruptcy protection.

The "we are United" was right after 9/11. There's also two fabulous commercial spots for this campaign, both of which made my UAL pride come spilling out, in the form of tears..yah^
