United and American Codeshare?
I just booked a flight through United that has me flying on American metal for the return leg from Dayton to SFO via Dallas. The ticket starts with 016 so it's a United ticket and I assume I'll get all my PQD/Ms, but I can't figure out why they booked me through another airline.
FYI I built the itinerary on google.com/flights and then purchased through UA.com |

Maybe they have nothing flying that day/time?

No miles for AA, therefore no PQDs for the AA segments.
Google flights is a referral service, it can build multi-carrier combinations. It booked you exactly what you clicked on. |
