Back at home, flying private would not be a smart move. But, yes, why on earth did he choose UA?

Well from NC (site of the US Open) his only other lie-flat options with just one stop would've been DL via JFK or ATL (looks like PHL - DUB on an A330 might not start service until July 1 - otherwise that's the third non-UA option). Perhaps the timing didn't work for any of those or they were sold out.

I do find it curious he didn't fly private. From his twitter feed it seems he does from time to time and since he's playing in a tournament this week it would seem to make sense to fly private and direct from Pinehurst to Dublin or even RDU to Dublin.

It's not that far of a flight so a relatively "cheap" private flight though those are a couple destinations that probably aren't that common for private jets so you'd have to pay for the extra empty segments presumably but it would cut down on travel time and get you to the next tournament more quickly

Should have borrowed Tigers Jet. Better yet with his 250 million contract from Nike why does he not have a JET?

Nope he was filming a new video explaining how HVFers are just as Overentitled as the Elites, he was explaining how its UAs job to get you from pt A to pt B but its not Allied or UPS,so dont complain if your checked items dont make it on the same flight

What about his caddie? Manager? Trainer? Did he have to buy them tickets as well?
Even if it was just his caddie, surely he wasn't the only golfer that played at Pinehurst and has to be in Dublin this week.
How about jet pooling?
