I'm trying to find the old flight record.

The reason why I recall this was because when I fly to HKG normally we would go, IAH-NRT-HKG

A few friends were telling me back in 08 that they had IAH-PEK-HKG (which is what we use now through CA)

You won't find anything. It didn't exist.

When was this? Because for as long as I've been a CO FA I've never heard of IAH - PEK non-stop. Nevermind the fact there aren't even Chinese speaker FAs based in Houston. Pretty sure it was thru flight IAH - EWR - PEK. 737s usually flew the IAH - EWR leg, while the 777 took over for the EWR - PEK leg. Same story with FLTS 1 & 7, those used to be IAH - GUM however made intermediate stops in HNL (FLT 1) and NRT (FLT 7). A 764 was used all the way IAH - HNL - GUM, while IAH - NRT was a 777 and NRT - GUM was a 738. At one point in time for several years FLT 7 originated in SAT.

There was never a non-stop CO IAH-PEK flight.

They were also the old flight numbers for the short lived EWR - EZE - EWR flights.

+1

I've been to MNL for two military coups and a volcanic eruption. The US media announced the end of the world; the family I have there did fine.

While new routes are good, do not forget that in addition to AC & CM there are other *A carriers serving SCL:

AV SCL-BOG
LR SCL-SJO
T0 SCL-LIM

SCL-SJO has been retired by AV. AV has dropped many routes that were non stop from SJO (MIA, LAX, JFK, UIO, GUY, HAV).
