Anyone ever experience a solo flight on UA?

A few years ago, I was on a DCA-EWR flight - last one of the day. Only two passengers were me and my boss...nobody else other than crew. FA was awesome and you could tell she wanted to sit and drink with us. Clearly a repositioning flight as they'd otherwise cancel with our collective $250 fare on that segment!

Anyone every been the only passenger on a UA flight?

Back in early 2000s I was 1/7 on a fight from ORD to GSO. This was back in the mainline days. They upped everyone on the flight to F on the 319. One of the better UA flights I've ever been on.

Last thanksgiving weekend flew DEN-ORD on A320 with 4 of us in first, and that was all. Loved it.

I don't know what words you'd do a search on this forum with, but this has been discussed numerous times over the years.

Post 9/11 was on a flight into DCA on one of the first flights back. There weren't many people on the flight, the terminals were nearly deserted & when I went to the rental car agent, there was only me & agents--not a single other pax.

CO9161 3 JAN 2005 B1900 - only pax
CO9156 16 DEC 2005 B1900 - only pax

no flight attendants on these either - I was literally left by myself.

Pretty sure I mentioned these on the other threads too, but it hasnt happened since.

Recently, only one in F on UAEX EWR-YYZ in January, also only one in F on CX HKG-TPE last year, and the only one in J on EY KWI-AUH in 2012.

I wonder what kind of fines CO had to pay for illegally operating passenger-carrying flights like that?

How did they manage to fit a WN airplane into a UA flight?

Why would you say they were illegally operated?
The B1900 never carried any flight attendants.

These were international flights too (TCB)

Did the B1900 only have 19 or fewer seats? I thought they were larger. They would also have to be operating under Part 135 if I'm not mistaken.

In '97, back in the days of SFO-LAX Shuttle by United I had just taken my seat as one of I think three passengers on a Sunday night flight when another man showed up at my seat with a boarding pass indicating the same seat number as I has been assigned.
A bit of a head scratcher that was.

Exactly 19 seats. Sometimes they would leave the cockpit door open too.

Looong ago, the was a 6AM 757 ORD-YYZ flight. It was a Wednesday and there was myself in FC, a passenger in the emergency exit aisle by the door (first row in coach) and the crew.

I'm sure some remember the 747 with the extra biz class seats for Asia market. UA would use that on the 3pm flight from LAX-ORD. There were just a couple times when they had everyone sitting in the UD and the two business class cabins downstairs were empty. I miss those days of domestic 747s and 777s. People would get on the plane and be excited to fly the 747 for the first time.
