I normally don't jump on the EU deals, but given we are still not seeing any sub 3k deals to Asia and don't think we will, we decided to take our first trip to Europe with this fare - SEA-ORD-FRA-FCO-IAD/EWR-SEA - both all in for 1,517 and with one segment on the LH 747-8, an aircraft we might not have an easy chance to fly. I used my agency GDS to put it on hold for a bit while we sort out other details.

Thanks to all who found and posted it - better get in before all the P space is gone...the dates are starting to thin out as we speak...ironically the price is almost $100 than the coach fare we just paid SEA NRT on NH.

No, but I bet the fares (mistake or not) will be gone tomorrow (or today if you are in Australia).

I'd like to cancel a HNL-GUA MR I have with a tight connection, I don't mind the $200 cancel fee, but how long after I cancel it online will I have the original spend to use for a new itinerary?

(I need to cancel because if I just try to change the flight it prices out to around $6,000).

Instead of cancelling, you can just change the flights and have immediate access to the value.

Edit: mis read your post - you have 1 year from date ticket issue

I can't... for some reason it prices out to $6,000 if I change it.

Well, you're getting access to your ticket value, just not the fare you want

remember a significant portion of the $1.5K is not PQD eligible.

Good thing I'm still in the 24-hour free cancellation window.

Does the "International Surcharge" line in my receipt not count toward PQD?

No that counts -- but all the taxes don't count and they were not discounted in this sale.

How can you make that booking on UA.com, especially with the TATL segment on LH metal?
I'm having no luck with the search results on UA.com if I search for VPS-AMS round trip.
I also tried using the multi-city tool, but no luck.

$1356 - Italy is cheaper for taxes/fees than, say, LHR for a premium cabin fare.

And on your Guam ticket, the original purchase date won't work for the promotional fares you're probably looking at, so it's pulling "normal" prices.

Another ^ for the OP.

Just locked ATL-DUB-ATL for $AU1631 in P for July. V. Nice.

hotturnip Apr 2, 2014 1:55 am

Wow.

I snagged ATL-EWR-CDG-IAD-ATL for $1560 7/28-8/4. Even lower for AMS or FCO, but I wanted Paris.

I REALLY shouldn't spend the money right now, but what are tax refunds for? I doubt I'll ever get another chance at a Biz fare like this to Europe.

Thanks, OP. The good karma you have spread should move you quickly towards nirvana. :)

It's very selective about where you fly from. In California, SMF, SJC & SAN work. SFO & LAX don't. And I couldn't find a way to mix different origin & final return destinations, so SMF-CDG-SJC, for example, won't work.
