Availability seems to be back (at least on the few routes I checked). But some of the pricing seems odd -- as in lower than normal. Interestingly, when one checks the actual fare basis, I'm getting fare bases I've not seen before for first class (e.g., EA0KY for an "A" fare or SA14KN for a "P" fare). Seems odd to me.

All the domestic routes I've been watching in mid-March are suddenly back to normal F and A availability. Were R0 before the messup, and now still are R0 even with F9 back as it should be, so no positive effects from the error, from my point of view.

Haven't seen this before. Found a flight with "P" availability but it prices as a "Z" (about $480 OW). An earlier flight on the same day does price out as a "P" (about $420 OW). Turns out that the "P" on the earlier flight is an S-up instead of the usual V-up, and the later flight is V9 and S0 and so the "Z" is the cheapest FC fare.
Anyone else seen this?

I noted the presence of an S-UP here, but all I got in reply was crickets!

The way these are implemented on other carriers is that in order to buy the fare, you need both S space and also P space. If no S space, then you'll need to buy a more expensive V-up…
These are generally /UPDI fares whose structure was introduced in Nov 2013, http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/unite...yup-fares.html .

Before this I had plenty of options SFO-ORD and LAX-ORD usually in P, but just as soon as I get a new month's worth a AMEX miles this crap happens .

It's showing up correctly for 3/21-25 trip I was looking at.. All morning was F-zeroed, but almost seemingly segment by segment, availability showed back up.
I was hoping some award space would open back up with it, but alas, not so much
