The Fleet Status site is:

https://sites.google.com/site/unitedfleetsite/

At the site, you can find information about the interior features, livery, etc., for every plane in United's fleet.

To determine which plane your flight will be on go to mobile.united.com and then click on flight status. Put in the flight number for your flight and just have it use today's date (occasionally it'll say flight not operated on this date in which case just choose one of the other 3 dates it lists). In the address bar you'll see something like this:

mobile.united.com/FlightStatus/FlightDetails?carrierCode=UA&flightNumber=415&flig htDate=9%2F15%2F2015&origin=JFK&destination=SFO

https://mobile.united.com/FlightStatus/FlightDetails?carrierCode=UA&flightNumber=415&flig htDate=9%2F15%2F2015&origin=JFK&destination=SFO

Just change the flight date to match the day of your scheduled flight and then change the origin / destination as necessary. Once you do that look in the details tab under aircraft # and if they have assigned a plane it'll say something like #3506 and the type of plane. Once you know that go to the United Fleet website listed above and cross-reference the four digit number against the "aircraft" column under the appropriate aircraft type.

Keep in mind that things change as they get closer and sometimes either they won't have assigned an aircraft yet or it'll be assigned #0 if it's a few days away and they are anticipating aircraft movement.

You may also check the specific fleet variant of each flight at the United Cargo site under "Schedules & tracking". This data tends to be reliable starting 7 days in advance, but is always subject to change.

Thanks Jose, I thought INT was doing WiFi and a lot of 739s have gone through there lately. I hadn't posted WiFi as I don't believe any ahve been turned on. Is that correct?

Looks like N773UA did its post-MOC test flight yesterday. It's one of the first 777 IPTE birds with Wi-Fi. Ready to rejoin the fleet soon?

A319 4030 (N830UA) has new bins. (fleet site shows it does not)

Still has old seats and IFE. I'm glad my record of avoiding the slimlines still stands.

Does anyone know what's going on with UA's Micronesian operation? It looks like a second 738, N36247 is headed to GUM via MAJ, 6852/18Feb.
Are these loner aircraft while work is done, or will they be swapped with current GUM aircraft, o that GUM gets the standard configuration?

The fleet site will not receive updates for a few days as I'll be out of reach. Expect N212UA to exit SFO any day now in Hawaiian config and expect N210UA to head to mod. Besides the scimitar program, some Airbuses getting seats/WiFi and maybe 744/763 paint action, don't expect much else.

It's temporary while some of the Guam birds get their heavy c-checks. One is sitting in Beijing right now.

I was flying UA 168 last night and was operated by 3238. Although each seat had the TV, they were inoperable and there was no entertainment for the entire flight. The power sockets did work though. I would also like to know what's going on.

Interesting. The stored content should've been at least accessible as that's what you get when the LiveTV system goes out on flights to the Caribbean and Hawaii. I would've at least thought they would've sent at least the mid-cabin lav 738s to GUM as those have the same overhead IFE system like the GUM 737s, while the GUM 737s are getting their heavy checks.

Hi Jose! Maybe the f/a base out of GUM is not trained on how to operate the system? That's what I concluded and just used my IPAD. I too at least thought the movie channels would be operable.
