The Fleet Status site is:

https://sites.google.com/site/unitedfleetsite/

At the site, you can find information about the interior features, livery, etc., for every plane in United's fleet.

To determine which plane your flight will be on go to mobile.united.com and then click on flight status. Put in the flight number for your flight and just have it use today's date (occasionally it'll say flight not operated on this date in which case just choose one of the other 3 dates it lists). In the address bar you'll see something like this:

mobile.united.com/FlightStatus/FlightDetails?carrierCode=UA&flightNumber=415&flig htDate=9%2F15%2F2015&origin=JFK&destination=SFO

https://mobile.united.com/FlightStatus/FlightDetails?carrierCode=UA&flightNumber=415&flig htDate=9%2F15%2F2015&origin=JFK&destination=SFO

Just change the flight date to match the day of your scheduled flight and then change the origin / destination as necessary. Once you do that look in the details tab under aircraft # and if they have assigned a plane it'll say something like #3506 and the type of plane. Once you know that go to the United Fleet website listed above and cross-reference the four digit number against the "aircraft" column under the appropriate aircraft type.

Keep in mind that things change as they get closer and sometimes either they won't have assigned an aircraft yet or it'll be assigned #0 if it's a few days away and they are anticipating aircraft movement.

You may also check the specific fleet variant of each flight at the United Cargo site under "Schedules & tracking". This data tends to be reliable starting 7 days in advance, but is always subject to change.

N14235 has been in IAH since 12/23. Changing the 738s would require reconfiguring them to mainland seating or getting an STC for 8 aircraft. We'll see what happens.
Thanks Bunky! At least GUM has one now.
Pretty neat that they're doing the modifications here on GUM. Why can't the 738's be done on GUM too? A step in the right direction now for the GUM based 737's.

I think he's referring to certification from the FAA to add E+ to the GUM 738 (while leaving the extra galley space in place of seats) vs. going over to the same design as the US 738 E+.

It's my understanding that the GUM 738s will have the same configuration as the mainland 738s. So that means removing the auxiliary galley at 2R, moving one of the lavs behind 36ABC over to where the auxiliary galley used to be, adding a dual F/A JS at 2R and adding a 37ABC. Also increasing F cabin from 14 to 16.

thanks Jose! That breaks it down perfectly for me at least. I can see them removing that storage compartment in front of 2A/B as it's primarily used for crew luggage - rarely have i seen it used for customer's coats - even in winter season. can you share any updates about 753's being repositioned to GUM?

Jose, if they are to make the 738s just like domestic, why not swap them out with domestic aircraft, sending a domestic 738 to GUM, and sending a GUM 738s through mod on the mainland then taking that former GUM aircraft into domestic service. This could be done during heavy checks, I presume.

I just realized almost all sUA 757's are gone. Will all but PSbirds be gone this year? Sad sad day.

The 752 domestic aircraft are on the way out and to be replaced 1 to 1 by 739ERs with just 3 fewer seats. Right now there are over 50 752s in the active fleet not including the 15 ps birds, 41 sCO international 752s and 21 753s.

Could it be related to the way only crew from that union can fly those planes? the sCOMike group is still separate IIRC.
