The Fleet Status site is:

https://sites.google.com/site/unitedfleetsite/

At the site, you can find information about the interior features, livery, etc., for every plane in United's fleet.

To determine which plane your flight will be on go to mobile.united.com and then click on flight status. Put in the flight number for your flight and just have it use today's date (occasionally it'll say flight not operated on this date in which case just choose one of the other 3 dates it lists). In the address bar you'll see something like this:

mobile.united.com/FlightStatus/FlightDetails?carrierCode=UA&flightNumber=415&flig htDate=9%2F15%2F2015&origin=JFK&destination=SFO

https://mobile.united.com/FlightStatus/FlightDetails?carrierCode=UA&flightNumber=415&flig htDate=9%2F15%2F2015&origin=JFK&destination=SFO

Just change the flight date to match the day of your scheduled flight and then change the origin / destination as necessary. Once you do that look in the details tab under aircraft # and if they have assigned a plane it'll say something like #3506 and the type of plane. Once you know that go to the United Fleet website listed above and cross-reference the four digit number against the "aircraft" column under the appropriate aircraft type.

Keep in mind that things change as they get closer and sometimes either they won't have assigned an aircraft yet or it'll be assigned #0 if it's a few days away and they are anticipating aircraft movement.

You may also check the specific fleet variant of each flight at the United Cargo site under "Schedules & tracking". This data tends to be reliable starting 7 days in advance, but is always subject to change.

Bunky,
Just an FYI, the 789 seatmap is available but on the Fleet Website it's linked to the 788.

UAinAUS - fixed the 789 seat map.

ERJ175:
N88301, First Mesa ERJ175 delivered (arrived IAH today).

739ER:
N63820 (new delivery) exited SEA after induction, now en route IAH 6861/2Apr.

744:
N117UA exited ORD 3/31/14 - could have been positioned as a spare.

763:
N663UA exited IAH 909/1Apr - might have been a spare in IAH

You seemed to have missed this, but 103SK arrived at ORD on the 29th.

Thanks, that would be the first SkyWest unit. I have it posted on the spreadsheet now.

it was a pleasure flying these b/w GUM & HNL when UA routed them this way weekly back in Sep 2013 and being able to lie flat for a nice portion of the flight. It made those early morning flts out of GUM easier and provided for a nice afternoon nap flying out of HNL. Glad I got to experience it.

The end of an era.

December 2, 2002 was my first ever international business class seat experience. I was a freshman in college and received a bump on an oversold LAX-ORD flight at Thanksgiving. I opted to stay overnight to fly the 772 with an upgrade to C the next day. I still remember how giddy I was.

It sparked a crazy decade of travel and premium cabin experiences. The end of an era.

N594UA (752) spent 3 weeks in MCN getting ready to be delivered to FedEx. And then it ferried to JFK this morning and is apparently operating a p.s. JFK-LAX flight today (UA766).

I don't believe MCN is used as a 752 fleet exit prep airport. Numerous 752 aircraft are flowing through MCN, many are the new p.s. configured aircraft probably undergoing routine maintenance.
N594UA is on the FedEx fleet exit list, but my list shows it at the bottom of the list, so it was probably in MCN for maint. Sorry for any confusion with the posting on the fleet spreadsheets.

UA766 is JFK-SFO.

How pissed would you be to get that aircraft if you'd paid four grand for a ps J seat?

Your post made me smile. My first front cabin experience happened the same way (AA CDG-JFK many years ago and well before "elites" came along). I remember thinking at the time; I'm spoiled for life. I never want to fly E again.

I feel bad for the FAs trying to shine that turd. "I know you were expecting a lie flat, WiFi, and AVOD but got a CRT and a lounge chair. Here, have a sundae."

Let alone the 4 blokes that were told "oh, you used an RPU, here's your boarding pass for a middle seat row >30"
