Everyone knows their own experience. I think you SFO guys have really taken it on the chin the worst wrt FFM floodgates, though. EWR probably close behind.
With offices both in NYC and upstate, Ive found I can travel out of upstate NY airports with much less hassle and >90% CPU rates, so the disconnect makes sense. I actually have XPUs to burn this year..but someone is always traveling either in family or on CC.

The numbers are lower but I've seen 32 with a full Business Class cabin on SFO-LHR - when there are no CPUs or RPUs so all those 32 must either have used a GPU or have used miles + co-pay - and all were disappointed.

+1. I recall seeing one flight at least into the 60s from SFO - IAD. This is, IMHO, the hardest flight to get UG. I've only gotten once this year.

... or they were non-rev. Almost all of these huge waitlist flights have a ton of NR passengers. I have seen 50+ non-revs on lists out of LAS. You can pick out the non-revs by comparing the UG waitlist with the standby waitlist. I believe the only way you can be listed on the waitlist for standby and an upgrade is if you are a non-rev.

I've seen it quite often recently where the F cabin is quite empty a week or so out, then all of a sudden, it fills up quickly and the names on the Status page do not show upgraded...so it seems like UA is becoming a master of selling the upgrades out from under the over-entitled elites ;-)

This is probably in part the result of families traveling on the same PNR. If it were just business travelers, you probably would have cracked the top 25
