788 at OGG (Maui) this morning
Taxiing on HA to Honolulu for the weekend and saw it at one of the gates.
Don’t know where it came from or heading to, but incredibly rare sighting here. Checked a couple of flights yesterday and today, but no luck. Charter?

As a consolation SAN-BOS still seems to have lie-flats via LAX-BOS (likely because of B6 competition).
I've seen the SAN-IAD 757-200 fairly frequently last year, so I don't think it's a correlation. Maybe the 757-200s got moved to some other route?

777-200 scheduled for LAS-SFO?
For some dates in August the current schedule shows 777-200 scheduled for LAS-SFO and SFO-LAS. Is this part of the MAX fall-out?

It might be. Sometimes there are also conferences in LAS, for which they add / sub more lift.

I was in a lie-flat (757) Saturday from LAX-LAS. 236 miles. I did doze off, briefly.

Aug 18-23 is probably for the annual Cisco sales rep FY kick-off which draws about the same number of people as Black Hat.
I have to be in LAS for one of those conventions but unfortunately, I'll miss out on the 772 as I've booked through SLC to visit family over there.
Not sure about the late-August flights. At first, I thought they were to accommodate the Oakland Raiders move but then realized that would be a year too early.
