I will not make 1K but I was curious how few it could take. Looks like the minimum actual segments would be 9, with 8 EWR-HKG in B or above, and then one flight to make up the remaining 3220 miles. So that would be 9 flights but 13 EQS.
It can be done with more actual legs but fewer EQS, taking 10 EWR-SIN on SQ (maximum 100% PQM, no bonus) and then one flight for the remaining 4650 miles. That would be 11 flights and 11 EQS. Only 5 days left to do that one, though. Also, you'd need a Presidential Plus or Club card for the 4 UA segment waiver here.

52 BIS for me this year, excluding 3x 0.5 segments for B fares (I showed 53.5 PQS when I crossed 100k pQM). B fares on US-NRT are a nice way to rack up extra PQM...
I will finish around 62 BIS segments at the end of the year, the least in several years (I usually am around 70). In 2010 I managed only 57, but that was with trips to BKK, ANC, HNL, MUC, and VRN, so I didn't have many short-haul segments that year. (2009 was even less, but it was also a double-DEQM year where almost all my flights were during the promo periods).
