I made it in 62 PQS (but probably about 50 actual segments)

Last edited by MCLC; Nov 18, 2013 at 10:00 pm Reason: realized that PQS vs actual segments might matter

A caveat for my situation - I had a few paid F domestic and J international (including EWR - India and EWR to TLV) this year.
Using PQS, I'll be 1000 miles shy at 30 segments, so a mileage run will take me to 31 or 32. That's using a fair number of Y/B fares TPAC per work.

Pretty close to the bare minimum of 13! (8060 EWR-HKG 12x plus something over 3280 miles to hit 1K).

I'll re-qual 1K next week with 35.5 segments, I think that's the highest number in the last 5 years. I typically have about 30.

The .5 was from an irrops 500 mile flight.

Have 81 segments and 214,000 miles. So if I do the math in my head, a shade below 40 per 1K.

Assuming proper posting for my flights today, I'll hit 100,000 in 76 segments (probably finishing around 115,000 for the year). How many transcon SFO or LAX/IAD/EWR flyers go that high?

Kind of crazy when my primary work commute is SFO-EWR. Throw in a bunch of flying around the midwest and there you go...

Made it 24 August 2013 on my 43rd segment, NRT-SIN.

And courtesy of good record keeping:
Made it 4 June 2012 on my 27th segment, SFO-DCA.
Made it 9 April 2011 on my 32nd segment, IAD-PEK.
Made it 22 April 2010 on my 35th segment, NRT-IAD.

As you can see, I'm slowing down.
