I have four GPUs expiring 31 Jan 2014. I phoned to ask for an extension since I have travel booked in March that I want to use them on. When I phoned, for some reason I had it in my head that I only had two expiring on 31 Jan, so I only asked for two to be extended.
They did put me on hold for a minute to check my account (I've requalified for 1K for 2014) before saying yes, they'd extend to 30 April. No problem, done in 5 mins.

I sent an email to 1KVoice, and they handled it. It looks like they process this by redeeming the upgrade and depositing a new one. When I look at my account, I now see
2 Global Premier Upgrade(s) expiring 4/30/2014
6 Global Premier Upgrade(s) expiring 1/31/2015
But + 1's account shows
1 Global Premier Upgrade(s) expiring 4/30/2014
6 Global Premier Upgrade(s) expiring 1/31/2015
1 Global Premier Upgrade(s) expiring 4/30/2914
It'll be interesting to see if that GPU really does have 900 years of life in it...

I called and got two of two exp 1/14 now 4/14. I was out on hold for 10 min for the seemingly newbie at the premier desk (didn't say 1k desk this time- hit or miss but is there really a 1k desk?) to figure it out, and finally had the GPUs extended. Thanks FT!!

I am a 1K, my updated my profile...
I called back at a more decent hour and I got the Mileage Plus Services desk, which upgraded two of my unused GPUs.
Just following the common advice on this forum. If you do not get the answer you want, call again.
