8 things to like about Delta’s new California Shuttle / UA Question

A question for UA FT members. I have flown the UA shuttle dozens of times LAX-SFO-LAX since the early 80's. I have not been on the new DL shuttle yet, as I am now based in LAS. Wondering if these new "perks" mentioned from this blog I saw will sway UA flyers to switch to DL on this route?

8 things to like about Delta’s new California Shuttle from Travel Blogger Chris McGinnis.
http://thebat-sf.com/2013/10/09/8-th...ornia-shuttle/

I remember back around 1988 DL had a hourly shuttle LAX-SFO-LAX. When DL started, UA went to every 1/2 hour, but almost every other flt was cancelled. UA won that battle back than.

Thoughts?

The reason I am asking is I will be doing a lot of business Between LAS - LAX - SFO next year.

What I find hilarious is the comment at the bottom where the person wishes Delta flew the 175's coast to coast.

I'd switch just for the snack. Coach gets this for free! Looks healthy and has recyclable packaging. Good job Delta!

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; CPU iPhone OS 7_0_2 like Mac OS X) AppleWebKit/537.51.1 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/7.0 Mobile/11A501 Safari/9537.53)

What's sad is the amount of food one gets on DL at LAX-SFO is about the same in a snackbox on a UX F midcon..

I've never missed a CPU on a UA flight from SFO-LAX, and that's probably my most frequent route.

I usually miss a CPU on that route. It is my third most frequent route.

I get about 50/50 CPUs as 1k

Biggest annoyance on these flights are the fog... I've learned to not connect through LAX to SFO anymore just because of the frequent delays

i wonder if by any chance his liking of 8 things was influenced by this:

Delta recently invited me to give the new service a try on a Tues-Sat trip from SFO to LAX.
....
..Although Delta paid for my ticket,...

I had to click through to make sure someone really wrote that. Definitely someone shorter than 5'.

They've only countered by offering more flights (i.e. cheaper fares).

Sounds good. I guess the war has begun (again). If fares are dropping, I guess we (the passenger) wins.

Probably because they offer $59 buy-up on that route, which is almost a no brainer for a guaranteed upgrade.
