Presidential Plus Cancellation vs United Club Expiration

My Presidential Plus credit card is up for the $375 annual renewal fee October 1st, 2013. United web site says my United Club membership "subscription" expires 12/31/2013.

I am seriously considering canceling the PP card with recent devaluation of club membership. So, my question is: If I cancel the PP card on 9/30/13, will my club membership still run through the end of 2013?

I cancelled my UA Club card last month but my membership still works. ua.com says it's valid till the end of November in my case.

The PP card exempts you from PQDs, and a host of other items.

From reading past experiences, this seems to be the case. Of course, YMMV and they always have the right to cancel as soon as you cancel the PP card.

Not sure if I would cancel the PP card. It is no longer available - so if you cancel you can't get it back. It gives you Avis Pres Club - you don't get that with the United Club card.

I remain super happy with my PP card. Think twice before canceling.

Pres plus worth more than just club

I have to say I've thought a few times about cancelling the PP card. But I come back to the following:
1) Avis Pres plus has paid back the club membership fee every year with 2 car class upgrades. I'm going to Orlando in Oct with SUV Class F-i need large class like Tahoe which would be $300 more for the week. There you go!
2) The continued FPQM are tidy insurance of not making up to Platinum each year.
3) And now exemption on PQD thru platinum further distinguishes this card in the Chase MP series.

I would think twice because you can never get it back!
