MileagePlus miles on TAM/AA codeshare?

Anyone know if its possible to credit my MP account if I book a ticket with TAM.com that is actual AA metal?

I'd assume no, but this strange territory they're in pre-OW is confusing the funk out of me

Not at all. Operating carrier is all that matters, and it's clear where AA lies.

I have the same question. Does PQM accrual on TAM metal up until the end of the year? Any issue?

Thanks

You still ge PQM on TAM flights. No one knows until when. Some speculates until Sep. 2014.

Just a note.

AA will start CWB-POA-MIA in november.

GRU-LAX and GRU-ORD next year.

LAM - TAM and - AA will control over 70% of the flights between North and South América.

JJ coded AA flights do not earn miles. AA coded JJ flights do earn miles.

Quick follow up

Thought it was easier asking here than starting a new thread

Q fare on TAM (not code share), so 100% miles

My question is, do I still earn 100% credit as a 1K also?

(this will be my first time on TAM, best to check....many miles at stake)

Thanks in advance

Nope. You get 100% elite miles and full mileage credit, but elite bonus does not apply for TAM flights.

If elite bonus apply, it will be disclosed under premier benefits:

Thanks, that's what I feared

Decisions, decisions, direct flights on TAM, or connect via FRA/MUC & fly LH

Booked TAM specifically for miles, later realized TAM's leaving *A

Hey all,

I'm fearing the worst on this one, but figured I should ask.

I booked some TAM flights last month for travel June 2014, specifically to earn UA miles, only to later find out that TAM will be leaving Star before then. Do I have any recourse here? Is there any special provision for flights that are booked before a partner's departure from the alliance? Is it worth a call to UA?

Thanks in advance!

Did you not buy this ticket to go somewhere? To the airlines, the miles are supposed to be icing on the cake, not the sole reason to purchase a ticket.

Is your ticket on UA stock?

The intent was announced 18 months ago and the date was announced 6 months (and has been on the TAM site).

I think that you are out of luck. We were in brasil when the news came, ie finalized, that TAM was going to OW. If you have a 016 ticket you'll get miles. We used to save money by buying JJ tickets since for the exact same ticket & fare class we'd save from $100-200 per ticket. We noticed after the OW announcement that for our travels next year that the difference evaporated.
