So as a 1K, with a stay at a Marriott hotel in January 2019, will I get access to the Executive Lounge? I am trying to determine whether to stay at the Marriott or the Hilton at LHR. If I get access to the Executive lounge it will be the Renaissance as I love the view of the runway. TIA
The earlier in January that you stay at LHR's Renaissance, the more likely you will be to have a last access to that lounge with the beautiful view of the runway.

Marriott is due to switch to Bonvoy on 13 Feb 2019, so probably safe to say the matched benefits for UA elites will disappear no later than 13 Feb 2019.
Maybe earlier but no later, The upper bounds.

1Ks will be demoted from Marriott Platinum to Gold sometime in January, and with that, our lounge access will go away.

Received renewal of Premier Silver due to Marriott Titanium status
Not sure why, but my Marriott status did not bump down to Platinum as I expected.
Instead, it appears Marriott has kept me at Titanium (formerly Platinum Premier).
Not complaining.
It also appears that United has now confirmed this, and my Premier Silver now shows as valid thru 01/2020
Does United ever re-confirm status or is this a done deal.
I am just worried that perhaps Marriott will still bump me down to Platinum, and then I wonder what happens to my United Silver status?

Maybe your changeover does not occur in february .
If you were gold elite, then retaining the platinum level is not an upgrade - as far as i see it .
As far as lounge access applies , the old gold is equivalent to the new platinum.

I was MP Gold last year and am again this year. I did the comp status match with Marriott last year and got Platinum. I *think* I re-submitted for a status match again for this year (or maybe just thought about it?) -- any way I'm still showing as Platinum.
