Does UA Normally Oversell the Intl 757 in C?
I am on Flt 36, EWR-EDI this Sunday and noticed that they are willing to sell up to 4 C seats while the seat map only shows 2 seats available. Usually it is the other way around given that some people with tickets don't select their seat ahead of time. Do you think it's more likely that a some seats are blocked or that they really are willing to oversell the C cabin that only holds 16?
Current availability is: J4, JN4, C4, D4, Z4, ZN4, P3, PN3, R0, RN0, IN0, I0, Y9, YN9, B9, M9, E9, U9, H9, HN9, Q9, V9, W9, S9, T9, L9, K9, G0, N0, XN7, X5
Thanks,

That flight has two seats blocked (4A and 4B) and two open seats. I think the blocked seats are designated for crew rest on flights over 8 hours, so the system blocks them out on all sCO 757-200s and they are assigned at the gate for shorter flights like EWR-EDI.
