How Do You Expect Your UA Revenue Will Change for 2014 Considering PQDs?

Here are the choices:

a. $0 - I do not see PQDs specifically affecting my UA revenue spend.
b. I will spend between $0 - $3,000 *less* than I would have previously.
c. I will spend between $3,001 - $6,000 *less* than I would have previously.
d. I will spend *less* than $6,001+ than I would have previously.
e. I will spend between $0 - $3,000 *more* than I would have previously.
f. I will spend between $3,001 - $6,000 *more* than I would have previously.
g. I will spend *more* than $6,001+ than I would have previously.
h. No change in revenue to UA *but* I will plan to spend at least $25k on my UA Chase credit card
i. $$$'s are now tied to status? Time to buy me a whole lotta *cheap* tickets to hit me them goals!
j. I'm a business traveler who flies on UA, codeshares, & JV partners - no clue what my spend is.

*All amounts in USD

Feel free to suggest other options that should be added to the poll.

zero.

Speaking of which, the survey is biased and would not make the cut if this were a professional survey. The zero option should be offered, as well as options where people might actually increase spending because of the change. Also, the question should be phrased in more neutral terms: positive impact, no impact, negative impact, etc. Loaded questions like this are not helpful.

Please comment on the amount of revenue you expect UA to lose from you after implementing the minimum revenue requirement. I suggest the following ranges:

a. $1,000 - $2,500
b. $2,501 - $5,000
c. $5,001 - $7,500
d. $7,501 - $10,000
e. $10,000 - $15,000
f. $15,000 - $25,000
g. greater than or equal to $25,001

It seems as though $0 should be an option too, no?

Based on my travel patterns up to date d.

Probably a.

But, to be fair, shouldn't the poll also include options of increased spend?

Sure, I will work on it. Thanks for the suggestion.

$0

Actually, my spend will probably increase next year, but the the revenue requirements will have no impact on it one way or another.

IAH-OIL-TRASH Jun 20, 2013 9:20 pm

Can't vote because my negative $ spend change will probably be less than $0

It's rather hard to say how my revenue will change. I expect to fly to 1K next year. But I also have no idea how much qualifying revenue I have this year or how much I have had in the past. Having some idea of that would certainly help us t:eek: plan for the future... for now. I'm not expecting any revenue change.

Probably from some to none. I don't think the requirements are unreasonable, but imposing them while running the kind of operation UA has been running doesn't exactly suggest that management is focused on improving customer service, and there are plenty of other options for getting from point A to point B that offer a reasonable prospect of less unpleasantness.

Probably a, the benefits of the 1k status are still worth to buy UA-stock.

I almost feel like Kate Winslet in Titanic as she says: "Come back, Jack, come back!" because I used to be UA's biggest fan, but I have decided that the airline I loved will never come back and I have to move on. Within the last 18 months, I have gotten food poisoning twice (and I actually suspect a third) from UA meals, I have encountered the worst customer service (e.g., united.bomb full of glitches forcing me to call reservations to change my flights and then deal with highly incompetent agents who tell me that SFO - EWR - MIA is not a valid routing), terrible long-haul J seats, and the list goes on...
