Cancelling Mileage Plus Visa Card to avoid fee
 
The $95 fee renewal for my credit card is due and I ma thinking of cancelling. The fee posted to my credit card on 4/01 and the bill is due 5/18. When is the latest I cancel to have the fee refunded or am I already too late.

Why would you cancel? If you fly UA, the bennies of having the card far outweigh the annual fee.

I just cancelled my United Mileage Plus Award Visa a few days ago. You can get the full annual fee back within 60 days from the post date, according to Chase. I don't have the Explorer card so it's only $60 for me. I'm replacing mine with the Sapphire Preferred Visa.
