What happened to IAH-SAV?
Used to be several flights a day. Now in peak season, there's 1 to go west.
More specifically, SAV-IAH... Not too many other options - looks like they're ceding that market to US/AA and that's that. Couple of options on DL SAV-ATL-* but by and large it's SAV-CLT-* on US.

I think it is part of the evolution of IAH's role as an east-west domestic hub at UA. Pre-merger, SAV-IAH was the only option going west for CO. Now, some of the westbound traffic can be pushed over ORD as well, lessening the importance of IAH in the network.
SAV-ORD operates 3-4 times a day, including CR7 service, while IAH now has typically 1-2 daily flights. Overall, the SAV-based consumer has greater options post-merger, even with consolidation reducing IAH capacity.
As for the local market, I was always under the impression that SAV was DL country. 10-12 mainline flights a day to ATL is tough to compete with.

(for context, I'm trying to do HHH or SAV-SFO and find my options to be significantly worse than they used to be)
