If you have the time during your connection (and you arrive before Noon or so when it closes), you should have access to the Welcome lounge located land-side. Your arrival BP in C gets you access. It has numerous showers and a great breakfast spread. The downside is that you will need to allow enough time to go back through the security screening process to get airside again for access to your flight.
All the air-side lounges are "departure" lounges, so any access is based on either class of service and/or Star Alliance status. You will not have access based on information above.
Here is the FT thread in the LH forum with more details on the welcome lounge:

2 hours for a connection for someone not familiar with FRA would probably preclude a visit to the Welcome Lounge.
It would be worth it to supply them with the info just in case their LH flight is significantly delayed or something.
The welcome lounge is fairly easy to find. Heading to the baggage claim area and then look for the signs. There are probably more specific directions on FT somewhere if you look for them.

Long layover in Frankfurt on UA ticket- showers/ best loung options?
Myself and Mrs. JohnMacWW are flying into FRA on UA Global First from ORD and out on Luthansa City Line to Verona in Business-I on a Monday in April.
We land at 9:45 AM and leave at 4:40 PM.
I know I am eligible to use the Lufthansa lounges in FRA and I have used a Senator lounge a few times.
But, what would be the best way for us to
1) Get a shower and
2) Enjoy best chance to relax while killing those 5-6 hours in FRA?

You will have access to the lounges you may just have to go through re-screening after arrival and into the A Concourse (Schengen). Go in and shower. If you have enough time after it takes 20 min to get into Frankfurt on the train. If not there is plenty of shopping and walking around. I spent 4 hours in the Z Sen lounge once and was fine.
I think the LH Arrivals lounge is only for LH F/J arrivals.

Thanks Kacee. I thought that but when I did a quick google I got this page from LH coming up first: http://www.lufthansa.com/us/en/Arrival-Services
Our Welcome Lounge is available to First and Business Class passengers who arrive in Frankfurt on a Lufthansa long-haul flight, ensuring a perfect start to their day. You can freshen up in peace and quiet in the well-appointed shower area while our ironing service freshens up your clothes. A delicious and healthy breakfast buffet is also available.
So settles in the the case for the OP. Freshen up in the Arrivals Lounge and then go into Frankfurt.

(For OP's reference, the key language is in the footnote: The following passengers may also access the Lufthansa Welcome Lounge at Frankfurt Airport:
- Passengers of United Airlines (First and Business Class and Global Services cardholders) and Continental Airlines (Business Class) arriving in Frankfurt.)

Get a day room at the airport!
There are several hotels inside Frankfurt airport (but outside security), all of which offer day rooms for 119 euros or so. Nothing beats your own room, your own shower, a true bed.
Last November, my wife and I flew from separate cities to Frankfurt, met up at the Sheraton, and enjoyed a long layover before connecting to Florence. My 777 bed on the way over was dismal, I'd swap it for coach before I'd swap a day room for the Senator lounge.

The best day room location I've seen was in the Seoul airport, inside security. I had a long layover from Thailand, this made all the difference. I was 100 meters from my onward gate; it was all I could do to resist boarding in a bathrobe, like Tony Soprano out to pick up his newspaper.

That seems a bit silly.
The OP will be in GF and while not the longest flight out there should hopefully get enough rest to function for the rest of the day in Frankfurt city for a few hours before the next flight.
Arrive in Verona in the early evening, have some dinner and then get to sleep and get on the current time zone sleeping schedule.

I'm honestly curious. I fly through Frankfurt regularly. A day in Berlin would be a thrill, for example, but what possible reason other than business could entice someone to set foot in Frankfurt?

However, during the day in April...eat, fresh air, decent weather, stretch the legs?
Seems a little bit better than spending ~$120 on a room where you are going to shower (that you can do for free in the lounge) and maybe doze off for a few hours.
