Generally for DL flights i look for "UP" to be somewhere in that code, but I dont know the UA system.
You can search for fares in First. The -UP fares will show up if available (they are technically discounted F) and will book into "A" or "P."
The fare code will also typically include "UP"; here's a V-UP for IAD-DEN: V2UP14N3, and the H-UP is H2UPY3 on the same route.
These are also not quite the same as a Y/B/M for a GM; they're a discounted F fare, vs. a high-yield Y with a complimentary, space-available "instant" upgrade to F.
