Arrived in 2C on Tuesday morning with a long walk to 2A for passport control and baggage claim. GS Agent met the plane at the gate and escorted us to the front of the passport control line. Nice touch.

Anyone fly UA to CDG (Paris) in the past few weeks?
This may or may not be UA specific, but super confused by Covid rules. Flew home from there 2 weeks ago, going back on Sunday. UA's Travel Ready Center seems to be in conflict with both the French Embassy and the US Embassy's statements.
Germany required a negative test AND a vax card. It appears that France ONLY requires a negative test OR a vax card. But I'm super pressed on time in the next 3 days, so If I don't need one, I won't get a test (even though I've been tested like 10 times in the past few months
).
Not sure if UA will require a negative test simply to get a Boarding pass, even if the destination country doesn't require it. Certainly don't want to get to the airport sunday night and be denied boarding.
Anyone entered France via UA travel lately?

Beware however that CDC card will be accepted for French immigration, but not for entering restaurants museums etc. in France. The French foreign ministry allows conversions to French QR code online, but the waiting period is ~17 days last I checked. Germany will convert the CDC card to EU equivalent in-person in pharmacies, and you can use any pass issued in the EU in any other Member States (so German pass will work in France and v.v.). French position re: CDC card is not the case across EU - many member states accept CDC card for both immigration and for local activities (restaurants, museums, etc.).

Was just in Nice, Paris, and Reims last week, returning to US on Sunday. Our applications to turn our CDC vaccination cards into the French Pass Sanitaire took over three weeks and so for a portion of our trip we didn't have them. It's possible to get a three day pass by getting tested at a french pharmacy (basically a temporary pass sanitaire) and redoing it every three days. However, we tried our CDC cards a few times and never had issue anywhere. Every restaurant, bar, etc accepted the cdc card even though they aren't scannable or anything. Also, many businesses (restaurants, hotels, trains) didn't even ask for it and some didn't even enforce masks). All in all, it was very refreshing compared to the US. Basically the sentiment was "we are vaccinated already so lets just enjoy life."
Coming back to the US (CDG-FRA-ORD in LH business), we were able to check in through their app but had to go to an agent to get boarding passes. We showed our negative test result and were good to go.

the CDC card is widely being accepted in Paris, though it's certainly nice to have the security of the pass sanitare if you can get it (my application came through 3 days into my trip at which point I stopped relying on my CDC card - but before doing so I had no trouble with the CDC card at a wide range of establishments from random bistros and cafes to museums and even nightclubs.)

A friend told me that she had her CDC card converted to the passe sanitaire at a pharmacy last week, like they tried to offer for the first few days of the pass and then stopped. Can anybody confirm that this is possible again?

From personal experience in Italy last week, the French pass will not work in Italy for restaurants.

OP here
I was able to get the French Covid pass in 48 hours somehow! My wife's is still pending though.
I was also in Paris a couple of weeks ago, and they mostly didn't care about the CDC pass or the French one for that matter. Only in the hotel did they ask,

I’m currently traveling around northern France. My wife has a CDC vax card. I have a French COVID test loaded on their app. Both have worked great without a second glance anywhere we’ve been. In Paris, I only get asked half the time anyway. But the CDC card has been fine even in the smallest towns.

FYI, here in Paris now, and heading to the north (Chantilly) later this week. We were able to get our CDC cards converted to EU/France pass sanitare. Mine was done in 3 days, my wifes took a couple of days longer, but she got it in time for her flight to meet me here tomorrow.
Most places here in Paris at least just quickly glance at the CDC card or pass sanitare., no one really seems to care.
Also, the United Travel Ready Center is not working particularly well for outbound US flights to Paris. My business companion, myself and my wife were all "rejected" by the Travel Ready Center for our flights. The gate agent at EWR told me that something is wrong in their system when it comes to France and Visa's, so airport check in is ultimately required until the problem is fixed
