Receipt when using GC + CC?
 

How does the receipt show when you purchase airfare on UA.com using both a GC and a Credit Card? Is the full price shown? Or only the post-GC charge to the CC?

The receipt should show the full amount, but will not break down how much was charged to each.

IIRC, the receipt will show payment type as "MISC DOCUMENT" and will cover the full charge.

Was asking for reimbursement purposes. Showing full amount should work. Just wanted to make sure if I used a GC I wouldn't have challenges getting reimbursed.

Sorry, hold on - I totally lied (looked at the wrong old receipt).

It will show up as:

Payment type: (your credit card)
Total amount: (includes credit card and gift cert amount)
Add collect: "An additional amount for the difference in fare was charge to (insert your credit card info here) on (insert date and time stamp) for an additional total of (insert amount charged to credit card here)


So yes, it shows the breakdown and the total

The receipt generated at time of purchase will show the breakdown.

The receipt generated from the check-in kiosk will NOT show the breakdown, but will simply show the total amount paid regardless of how it was paid.
