award booking - .com won't match up segments?
I'm looking to fly LAX-IAH-home.
-The first segment (787) is available in I for 25k saver.
-The second segment is available in YN on an ERJ for 25k standard (no biz class on equipment).
The on-line won't populate a complete trip economy ticket nor will it populate a mixed class ticket at even 50k. It just won't pull those flights for an award, period.
But it has no problem pulling a complete revenue ticket with those flights.
Shouldn't I be able to purchase an award on one ticket and at what cost for what class of service?
CS basically couldn't offer an explanation.
Thanks

Let's see - Only a 2-hour layover, so the 4-hour rule doesn't apply.
Fare Classes available are below:
F9, A9, JN9, Z9, ZN9, P9, PN9, R9, RN9, IN9, I9, Y9, YN9, B9, M9, E9, U9, H9, HN9, Q9, V9, W9, S9, T9, L9, K6, G0, N0, XN0, X0
Y9, YN9, B9, M9, E9, U9, H9, HN9, Q9, V9, W9, S9, T9, L9, K6, G0, N0, XN0, X0
Fascinating. That is a really odd issue. Can you book the YN only, and then reserve it, and call in to add the LAX-IAH segment?

Yeah, It seems I can't connect via that dreamliner segment on any ERJ equipment regardless of route.
I'd have to book the YN at 25k and then add LAX-IAH for another 25K in biz I guess? I may not be that desperate to do a 50k spend.
I'd pay out of pocket but the 2nd segment costs more than the entire trip!

I did. But the call was routed overseas and they couldn't answer anything about anything. I wrote an e-mail and they told me to call in so that was no help.
I'll try again with booking LAX-IAH first and then doing an add-on, but it sounds like I'm drawing up a play in the dirt.
Mixed awards are commonly available on one ways.

It is not possible to mix I and YN in the same direction as a one-way award. I is a saver-level and YN is Standard/slEasyPass. That isn't a valid combination.
If both are saver level then you can mix I/IN and X/XN but not between saver and standard.
