I used it twice today (two different PNRs). No issues.

Last week, I used paypal to hold a fare while I was waiting to find out about my schedule. I ended up letting it expire. I tried to do it again and noticed that the paypal option is gone. Anyone know if paypal is gone for good? I wonder if it matters, since WU can be used to accomplish the same thing.

This happened to me a while back. I used Pay Cash at the Airport Option to hold a ticket but let it expire. Then that option was gone for a while under my account. It did eventually come back 1 or 2 weeks later.

Cash option is great to put a PNR on hold without calling UA.

I always have my itineraries put on hold due to my address being international and my CC billing address being in the USA. I can only guess this is it for it is a pain to have to call in to actually ticket the itinerary. Been happening since the merger. Tried several things..... anyone have a suggestion? I dont' have a need for the workaround people are using to hold tickets.... it is a pita for me.

Just checked again and the paypal option is not there. I guess I'm in the penalty box.

Is the ability to pay in cash gone from the United website?

Used to find it quite useful for holding fares but it didn't come up for me on two searches today when I was testing something out. (Sorry in advance if someone has already mentioned this, but I've been falling more and more off the UA bandwagon as of late!)

Maybe it's just me but can anyone else confirm?

I've noticed that when the date of departure is soon (don't know precisely the number of days), the site doesn't let you select the pay by cash.

It's an archaic form of pseudo-bartering using decorated pieces of paper or metal.

Primarily used by those who have not yet been assimilated.

Resistance is futile.
