Still not open. Projected opening is Fall of 2022.

*****

E-Mail from United on 1/28/2020

We're changing terminals. Starting February 4, all our flights will depart and arrive from the new Terminal 3. If you're arriving in to Phoenix after 6 p.m. on February 3, you'll arrive at Terminal 3 as well.

United Club closure. Because of our move to Terminal 3, the United Club℠ location in Terminal 2 will close February 3. We're looking forward to bringing you a brand-new space in Terminal 3 later this year.

Yes, I visited at new T3N concourse last week. It's so beautiful! He gave me a permission. He escorted me to the new T3N concourse tour. I had an opportunity.

Thanks for this. T2 was not beautiful or modern by any means, It was simple, which actually saved a lot of time, you could park so close.

I scanned this thread and couldn't find it here, nor was an internet search very fruitful...I see talk of a train between T3 and T4. Is that airside or landside?

I'm just trying to find out if I can hit the Amex or Escape Lounges in T4 before my UA flight from T3.

Train or no train, anyone know how long it would take to get from the T4 lounges to the UA gates? Seems like everything is so cavernous, I can't imagine it being a quick walk/ride and I'm guessing therefore prohibitive.

The train is landside. If you do not have a BP for a flight departing out of Termina 4, I doubt they will let you through. I would call the lounge to verify

I've never personally tried it but have seen it noted many times that as long as you have a "same day" BP from any terminal at the same airport TSA will (generally) let you through. I don't really comprehend it but I understand some people enjoy shopping/dining at airports and some options are only available in some terminals. IIRC for UA this comes up most frequently with regard to Newark (flights to/from A/B wanting to use the C club or Polaris lounge or VV) and LAX (TBIT to T7/8) -- previously LGA was a major offender as well.

Honestly I don't think TSA has ever paid attention to the terminal on the BP, just the airport code, date, and pre yea/nay + name match to ID

New sign in T3 with location of the coming UA Club. I tried casing the space: it's the room behind the "Discover Arizona" shop and next to the bathrooms at E5. on the PHX terminal map it's the darker grey space. The area is key-controlled for security ("authorized personnel") and looks...decently sized. Not going to be huge, but probably adequate. So hopefully we get something as pretty as SAN since, like there, it's not going to be overly large. Better food than SAN would be nice too but,well...

I was leaving PHX last week and noticed this sign thanks to your photo! Sadly, when I arrived at PHX today, it was turned around and tucked into the corner so it could not be seen. Hopefully the opening isn’t delayed until 2021 or worse, but I’m not getting my hopes up.

I'll ask someone. See if they have any news about new UC at T3N concourse. We'll find out soon enough.

Okay. I already got email from Delta. He told me the United Club haven't started construction yet. They already cutbacks some flight. I think they delaying open the United Club for next several years or so.

Thank you for the information. I was expecting bad news about the Phoenix UC. It probably wouldnt be open till 2021 anyways with Covid even if it was built/finished.

Yeah, I figured PHX would be a casualty due to COVID, and I am not really shocked at the idea that it's maybe even "dead dead". But definitely not happy if there's AAA lounges, a great DL lounge, an AMEX lounge and...bupkus for UA/*A.

Pretty much the case everywhere except for UA hubs...

The new DL SkyClub in PHX T3 is super nice. Even cash-strapped AA has completed and opened its new AC at non-hub SFO.

UA not really competitive on the domestic lounge front these days (if it ever was).

Yes, it is! T3S Sky Club is very nice. You can't go into Delta Sky Club. You have wait for United Club will opened for next few years or so.

I'll ask someone. I will find out when.

I think its probably dead dead as construction of the club never even began pre-Covid according to information in this thread. I think a best case scenario is an early 2022 opening, though I hope Im wrong.

The only restaurant open on the E gates side of PHX terminal 3 is that Phoenix Brewing Co. which I think is very overpriced and mediocre. Its the only option for food though (apart from sandwiches at shops vs restaurants). Scramble was open for a while during all of this but closed down.

I have hoofed it over to the Delta gates side though for shake shack, but thats quite a walk for food. The UC opening wouldnt change much, but Id rather take that with some snacks versus Phoenix Brewing Co.

Which includes two shower rooms at said non-hub AC. Even in the best of times no aspect of Uniteds products or services were spared from relentless cost cutting. Now we can expect the PHX UC to open beyond 2022 I would say, if at all.
