Currently booked on the 753 LAX-EWR red-eye w/ a companion in row 8 B&C. 7 ABC are available and look like they have more legroom and no one reclining into you, but armrests are fixed. (Row 21 B&C are also available, if folks think that is better? Also, curious as to armrest issue raised in prior post...)

I'm 6'7" and just looking to get some sleep so legroom is my #1.

Any thoughts are appreciated!

Input on this would indeed be appreciated. Also, is the IFE mounted in the bulkhead in row 7?

757 BF Config LAX-EWR

Do they offer pillows and duvets in BF like the PS birds to JFK?

harry5198 Jan 6, 14 2:47 pm

no pillows and domestic blankets

I did a ORD-LAX and LAX-DEN this weekend on these old birds and they had blankets available but not pillows.

These planes are so old... Still waiting for direct TV and power. Row 1 is only good on the A/B side as there is a cutout for storage and a bit extra legroom. Quite convenient actually.

The 757-300 you were on isn't getting DirecTV only the CO original 753s will have direcTV, the ATA hand-me-downs will be getting the streaming content stuff and those 753s aren't that old at all they were built between 2001 & 2003.

Not old, but those planes look just as old as the 757's. The seats make it look old. I still prefer row 6 in First.

Ahh thanks for the info! I would prefer to be in seat 1A or 2A on an E70 over F on one of these... much more private/ comfortable seats. I guess the downside is no "meal" on E70 :D:rolleyes:

This year, I have flown 737-700,-800 ,A320, A319, 757-300, all with no direct TV or power... :(. And of course the E70's as well.

Hoping I get power for my flights this weekend!!

All 737-700's should have direct TV.

hmm that is interesting, I'm 90% sure I was on a 737-700 as it had less F than my flight after, which I believe was a 737-800. Maybe it was an -800 and -900? The flight had no direct TV.

The mid-cabin lav 738s don't have DirecTV and some 739ERs don't have it either. So possibly you were on a 737-800 with a mid-cabin lav? Because that has 20F seats like the 739s.

UA 757-300 questions

Hi,

do all 757-300s have AVOD?

Do they all have winglets?

What about 757-200s?

Thanks

1. No only the CO original 753s (tail #s 851 - 859) have DirecTV (Not AVOD) the second hand 753s from TZ (tail #s 860 - 871) have overhead monitors that drop down from the overhead bins every few rows. (These ones are getting streaming content)
2. Yes all 753s have winglets
3. All TATL & PS 757-200s have AVOD & winglets. The domestic 757-200s do not have winglets and just have overhead monitors hanging down from the ceiling.
