CLE-GRB loads were good, but Sun Country is starting GRB-Florida flights in October. That probably killed UA's GRB-CLE-Florida yields.

On which the specific route is that? Is that GRB-MCO or something like that.

i always liked taking the morning grb-cle flight, i don't ever recall it being full after the merger, but before it wasn't too bad. of course this doesn't mean that it was actually making money. as long as grb-ord sticks around I'll be happy. i would love to see grb-ewr though.

I'll be interested to see if the fares are competitive with other alternatives, which isn't necessarily UNITED's track record.

How about direct CLE to XNA, TUL and LIT?

GRB-MCO and GRB-RSW - initially 2 flights a week to each destination for $195 r/t, "more flights later" is the promise. The operator is MetJet, a thinly financed startup, which is contracting the flights to Sun Country as a public charter.

If only we could get CLE-LHR back. I guess the UK departure taxes killed it, like the EWR routes from secondary UK airports.

I think we will see CLE-FRA with a 787 soon. That is if UA decides to keep the hub.

Yes, they will costs you a $500 taxes. Way too expensive! UK government had no reason to spent $500 taxes. Killed it now!

Yes, they are insanely high, and yes, they are killing the golden goose, but for C class LHR-CLE they would be about $200.

Right, there is lots of those people are complaining about $500 taxes. That's why they didn't like it at all. There is no absolutely reason. Something is not right. Better killed it now! Those customers who want to search a real cheap price. It will cost you more than $1,000 ticket. Way too expensive!

I suspect your friends may be mixing up the taxes with the hefty fuel surcharges charged by a certain British Airline.
