UA881/882 744 Swap to Old 772...why??

Apologize for redundancy but why is UA swapping from their "new config" 744 to the old (Recaro??) biz class seats in the Asian market with so much competition from other carriers? Flying NRT-BKK on Dec 13 on a SWU and as of today the equip changed from the 744 to the old PMUA 772. The return on Dec 27 is still showing the 744 but that too will probably change. I'm hoping it will swap back but a bummer if that's the case...

My understanding is the 777 should all be converted to lie flat by end of year

Perhaps you are in the last unconverted one or they are playing it safe on seat maps

With 9 XI to XJ conversions still to take place, I doubt they will have them converted by the end of 2012, unless they open additional lines. 763's and 764's are on track to all be converted by EOY.
