IAH-EZE Lie flat beds?
UA have just announced a plane change for this route:
http://airlineroute.net/2012/08/04/ua-iaheze-w12/ The UA site shows 3 different 767-300ER seat layouts, one of which has lie flat beds. Does anyone know if this EZE change means lie flat beds on that route? |
Oddly I was looking at this route just yesterday and was confused by all the different 767 variants. However you can look on united.com at the seatmap for any given day, and lie-flats should show up as little angled thingies while recliners just show up as rectangles.
It looks like it's going to be the 2-1-2 lie-flat version, yeah. |
Yes, it will be a flat bed - unclear if it's 3 cabin w/PMUA C/F sets or one of the re-configured 2 cabin ones w/PMCO C seats
|
It will be in the reconfigured 2-cabin sUA configuration.
|
Up until now, all intl pmUA 767's were 3 cabin. I guess now they have reconfigured the ghetto birds into 2 cabin w lie flat. Does anyone know how many A/C that is total. (and what routes they plan to use them in?) Didn't they ALL come from the HNL market?
Any news on if UA plans to upgrade those 2 cabin 777's w that ridiculous cramped F? I see I'm still booked on one SFO-HNL which is what it's always been used for |

Right now the one reconfigured 763 is flying ORD-AMS-ORD, other routes expected are EWR - IST, IAH - EZE.

All 14 sUA domestic 763s will be reconfigured to the 2-cabin international configuration with BusinessFirst flatbed seating, AVOD nose to tail etc. There is 1 already flying around, and 2 more in the shop at the moment. I believe one should be re-entering service any day now. Yes the sUA 777s are planned to be reconfigured with P.S. style Business class seats in a 2x2x2 configuration, and Y will receive new seats in a 3x3x3 configuration. When you say "P.S. style Business Class seats" , do you mean the current P.S. leather seats w foot rests? That is certainly a step up if they use them on the same routes (HNL-West Coast)
I wonder if those seats will go in for "heavy checks" though :D |

Is there a seating thread for this aircraft config? I'm keen to know if row 1 is worth having despite the galley / lavs.

Not at the moment, but I believe J will drop from 36 seats to 24 seats.

Row 1 would be worth it just for the normal foot-sized footwell; any non-bulkhead row you'll only be comfortable if you have little kid feet |

30 seats rows of 5 1x2x1? Where did you get your information? Because that is definintately not right. It will be in a 2x2x2 configuration.
6 rows of BF - AB D KL E+ starts in row 16, goes to row 22 (I'm guessing, greyed out) E goes from row 23 to row 42 All Y seats are 2-3-2, save row 42 (just 2 seats) |
