UA Status match bag allowance LH/UA

Hello everybody,

I was just given a status match challenge from DL Gold to UA Gold.
I have a flight MXP-FRA-IAD in a month and I was wondering since the first flight is operated by LH, what my baggage allowance would be ?

* All flights are UA coded, and the FRA-IAD flight is on UA metal
* I'm flying Y+
* I know the website says that for status matches it's not guaranteed to receive the same benefits from partners of *A; but since the longest flight is operated by UA shouldn't their rules prevail (even at check in a MXP)?

* How about lounge access in MXP/FRA?

Thanks so much

That has nothing to do with it. You will be governed by the rules of your originating carrier in each direction.

Well this is what I was told when I called LH...They said that the rules of the carrier of the TATL portion should apply...
