P Class International Ticket Changes

Booked flight LHR to SFO via ORD return - 767 clears into F all segments - then the return SFO - ORD changes to A320 and cant get me into F ..first agent claiming need to redeem upgrade for this sector - already applied co-pay ...stuck without seat assignment in Economy - joy

I thought P is a paid business class ticket which would mean you don't need an upgrade? I booked some P fares to Europe recently and they were a really good deal. I have GPUs on the waitlist to get into Global First.

Quote them back "Rule 260" - search for my post in the past couple days about it

Basically, a schedule change does not give you justification to kick you out of an upgraded class - they can open up a revenue bucket for you

P is not an upgraded fare class. :-:

It is also reasonably new so the agent might not be familiar with it and assume it is an upgrade, but if there are seats for sale in F they should be able to force one open for the OP.

Is P eligible for a GPU upgrade to Global First? I see references online to Z and P not being eligiblel.

I don't know. I have two tickets on this reservation and it wouldn't let me apply the GPU online, but I was able to call in and get it applied. F is full months out on this flight, so my thought is they are considering changing it to be one of the routes serviced by the two class aircraft.

It shouldn't be, P is lower than Z and has been used quite a bit by LH and UA for deeply discounted business tickets.

I don't want to gate-crash this thread but I have a question - Miles and More refused to credit me award miles for a international (BRU-ORD-BRU) United flight in P (business discounted). Has that happened to any of you? Expensive ticket, and NO award miles at all. very frustrating and trying to not have that happen again.
