Due to the length of concourse B, a connection under an hour when the arriving or departing flight is a UA mainline aircraft, is not advised. If you arrive on the far west end and depart on the far east end, then allowing for the time it takes deboard the plane, and the 20 minute cut off when UA starts to cancel seat assignments, you are unlikely to make your connection. Of course sitting in the front of the arriving plane helps as does having no green tagged bags.

However, if both aircraft are United Express, then a 45 minute connection is acceptable because all United Express flights arrive and depart on the east end of concourse B. Due to construction some United Express flights are utilizing concourse A which requires a transfer via train.

You don't even have to leave UA terminal!

That is what I was thinking. Anyone know what might be good to brad in DEN with a 65 minute layover?
For Breakfast Snooze!! Although I don't know if they do takeout. However Pour La France! is really good also, which does take out. Modern Market is good as well and a lot quicker, you might be cutting it close at Pour La France!

OP says they have a 6am flight out of LAS (DEN arrival around 9am) with a 65 minute connection (so ~10am departure), ShakeShake opens at 11.

Going from PSP to ORD with a 46-minute connection at DEN. It's a UA Airbus 319, and I will be in Business with carry-on only, so I can be among the first off and willing to hustle if needed. DEN-ORD is a 757.

Can any experienced DEN flyers let me know the most likely arrival terminal from PSP and the most likely departure to ORD? Thanks

Most likely: Terminal B for both. The only problem is you (or we) don't know what gates in B. If you're lucky, they can be right next to each other. If you're not, opposite ends of B.

If you're really unlucky, one flight could be arriving into Terminal A and then your other departing from B.

Other issue with DEN for sea level dwellers: running at altitude may not be much fun.

*Concourse B and *Concourse A, there is only one Terminal at DEN and that is the Jeppesen Terminal.

For OP, I think you should be good, however any slight delay out of PSP may ruin your connection, if you are at all worried (and it was due to a schedule change) I would call in and route via SFO or different times in DEN

Apologies on missing the concourse designations. Back to your regularly scheduled DEN dash.

Hi,

Will travel on Friday PHX to Denver (United arrival 4:45pm) to connect to Lufthansa to Frankfurt (deprature 5:45pm). Looks as it is arrival Terminal B and Departure A - a train connects these as far as I can tell.
Sitting in first row with hand luggage only and can run if needed. Do you see any problems?

On the way back I will arrive from Frankfurt on Monday a week later on Lufthansa at 3:55pm and depart to Phoenix on United at 7:45pm (Global entry - green card - hand luggage only) so I assume I will have time to kill. Is the Amex Centurion Lounge my best bet? How long should I plan to get back to Terminal B?

Thanks

Thanks
You shouldn’t have any issues on the way to FRA. The train ride takes just a few minutes and your walk, assuming you’re not on an RJ from PHX, shouldn’t be more than 5-7 mins (less if you walk fast) from the B gate to the train. The train runs often and you’ll just have to take it one stop to Concourse A.

On your return, I wouldn’t expect any issues, especially with GE. I’ve not tried the CL yet, but it looks like a better option than the UA lounge since one of them is closed for renovations. Like your trip from B>A, the train ride from C>B shouldn’t take more than a couple minutes.

Thanks
We just did FRA-DEN in J a couple months ago and with GE, US passports and hand luggage as well. From arrival at gate to on the curb waiting for an Uber was about 12-5 mins. Security is a bit of a mess right now, but it's still pretty quick with pre-check to get back airside after you clear customs and immigration.

CL lounge is best option, by a lot.

Here is a post where I timed CL back to B. 5 mins is what I consider best case scenario without breaking a sweat, but I'd plan for 10.

Layover time in Denver

I’m looking at a flight on United from Portland (OR) to Tampa via Denver. Is an hour layover between flights long enough (assuming it gets there on time, I realize)…or should I look for a different schedule?
