Well, considering COdbaUA's efforts to drive away their best customers, yes, they could be mad at somebody for buying a ticket just cause they want to fly around in a cool new plane.

But since you're only a 2P, you're not one of their best customers, so it'd probably be ok. But just this time. Don't make a practice of it. Cause then you'll be a 1K. And then they'd have to work to drive you way too.

The 787s are being delivered with ETOPS 330. There will be no need for proving flights. There will likely be need for crew familiarization flights, but that's a whole different beast.
