New United "blankets" are here. And they suck.
I had the misfortune of getting to experience the new blankets on my IAH-EWR flight yesterday morning. I was excited when the FA mentioned that she had the new ones as I was looking forward to trying them out. Turns out that they are pretty darn bad. Super thin, they require doubling over to provide any sense of warmth. And the blanket is so small (~24"x48") that it is really only good for half a body anyways before being doubled over to actually prove useful as a provider of warmth.

Read a bit more about the new United blankets and see more pictures here.

They are business and they need to earn money for their shareholder and not you.
They should cut corners as many as possible to get more revenue.
That's why we should support the SHARE system, terrible midcon meal, bad customer service, change distance of the airports, replaced life time benefits,
less CR1s, less R spaces..........etc..
We should all support this kind of change because the change you will like.

New blankets complete joke. Then again they go well with your pillow
Enough of this crap from UA.
Why would anyone or any corp continue pay for their subpar product and services.

Just like bringing my own food, I've started traveling with my own wool blanket and one of the tempurpedic travel pillows. I just try to create my own little zone on whatever winged bus I happen to be on.
Yes... I'm THAT guy. When traveling with my Daughter, we've got a bag of toys just for her.
