Made 3 Million Miles last week!!! Here are my six (6) gift options:

That's quite a long time to wait for the "gift email". As I recall, the typical wait time is 3 weeks or less.

Well, truth be told, I never knew there was a 'real' gift, I had assumed it was the magnetized plastic plaque and the extra drink chits! So it was a pleasant surprise even if it was delayed.

I got the Tumi Alpha 2 Compact Lg Screen Laptop Brief Black as my 2MM gift and it's still sitting in plastic wrap on its shipping box.

That's because I travel with my 2 laptops in a B&R rolling briefcase.

I chose Tumi Large Soft Travel Satchel for my 3 Million mile. I never use satchels so I will give it away to my son.

When I hit 2MM, a long time ago, they did give out life time Red Carpet Club memberships. It's a nice perk, saves me using miles every year.

Wish I had this option of lifetime UC membership when I reached 2MM instead of the rather useless Tumi laptop bag which is still in its wrapping

Well, you have to remember, when that was a benefit there was no Platinum status level so no rise in status level at 2MM. So the lifetime RCC membership was the major thing for achieving 2MM. Now it is lifetime Platinum status.

When I hit 1 MM (pre-merger), they made a big deal about it on the plane (LAX-OGG), and I got a letter from UA, but no plaque.

Hit 2 MM a couple of months ago. No mention of it all all on the flight to DCA (and they couldn't even address me by name during the meal request).

I did get an email a while later. Today I chose the Garmin exercise tracker + scale. I see that the Tumi laptop back is popular, but I already enjoy a very lovely leather WaterField laptop bag.

Yes, UC lifetime membership would be great, too bad not an option any longer.
