We’re making some changes to the Million Miler program. Starting May 4, 2020, we’re excited to announce that we’ll be giving bonus miles for each Million Miler level achieved above 1 million miles. As a result, we will be retiring our gift site and ask that if you wish to select a gift you do so by May 31, 2020. If no gift is selected, we will deposit bonus miles into your account to show our appreciation for your continued loyalty.

How long it is taking these days for the https://thanksamillion.united.com/Consumer link to become active after passing the 2/3MM milestone? It is same time as miles post, or a few days/weeks later?

I received my 2MM "Congratulations" email, with link, about 1 1/2 weeks after passing 2MM mark.

So I believe the list of gifts has slightly changed.
I guess the list is a bit better. I still have the ipod which is still unwrapped after 4 years.

For those who just cross 2MM, here is the timing:

1) 2-3 days after your flight, miles will post and your new MM status will be effective.
2) 8-12 days after your flight, you will get an email telling you to select a gift
3) you might have to wait an additional week (after getting the email) for the gift link to become active. If you get an error message, just wait a few more days and it will eventually work.

Angry Two Million now gets you nothing?
Crossed 2 million on June 16 coming back to LAX from Atlanta. Was greeted at the gate in Atlanta by a person who welcomed me to the 1 million mile club. I said "I'm actually going 2million today" and he sheepishly handed me a card and walked away. Sure enough, the card read "welcome to 1 million."


Since then nothing. Absolutely nothing. And yes, my online profile now reads just over 2 million so everything else is in order. I had heard about choice of gift, nice recognition, etc.


For the forum - is this an anomaly or the "New United"?

First, welcome to FA. There're some specific threads you can look into:

You will get something if you don't hear from UA, so take a pick of what items you would like.

Bottom-line is, the agents either didn't check to confirm, or the agents were handed the 1MM card and told to get it to you. You need to understand UA is in for business, nothing more, so you definitely cannot expect any VIP treatment like GS, AA CK, or some Asian airlines like JAL, ANA, TG, and etc.

In the eyes of UA, until you are GS, you mean nothing to them. I felt it myself, you are definitely not alone.

Hey United ... Can I send in the Tumi bag I never use and get the carry-on in exchange?

Looks as though the gifts have improved a bit since I crossed 2MM!

Lol. Yes I went with the Thule carry-on. From a value perspective, the Tumi was highest price item, but I already had one and needed the Thule!
