United Airlines operates an "air side" shuttle bus between Terminals A and C from 4:00AM to 12:00AM (midnight). In addition, United also operates a shuttle bus connecting Terminals A and C to terminal B (pier 3, used by Star Alliance carriers) from 1:00PM to 11:00PM, but not in the opposite direction (shuttle does not board at Terminal B). The shuttle bus is available at gate A28 and C70 as illustrated in the image above. The shuttle drops off passengers at the terminal B through the service entry, that requires walking up 2 flights of stairs - there is no elevator. I will be arriving at EWR from Europe at about 2 pm with a 1:31 domestic connection. It looks like the flight usually arrives at Terminal B, and according to flightaware it has an average arrival delay of 40 minutes to 1 hour. The next and last UA connection of the day is only 10 minutes later.
I haven't done an international arrival at EWR for many years. What would be a reasonable transit time to Terminal C, I have Global Entry

If your flight is constantly delayed, you probably would not make your connection anyway. Since door closure is at 15 minutes prior, you have 1 hour 15 minutes assuming your flight arrives on time.

325pm boarding time. Arrived at Terminal A by 315pm on 62 bus (later than usual due to PATH train delay, and subway delay in NYC). Got to gate at 320pm, and still had time to sit and wait for boarding commencement. Felicia is the FA - she is fantastic!
Did not even break a sweat. Do not attempt if your risk tolerance is low.
I always take the bus if leaving from A. Airtrain takes so long between each terminal stop.

Would you do a 1hr 5min connection D to I in late Sept (SAT-EWR-BRU)? After big issues at EWR last year, I said I'd never go through there again, but it's the only route I can confirm PP right now.

Personally, I would. I have done connection times shorter than that, on separate tickets to boot.

I would pay big money to be the person to push the button to demolish Terminal A -- and that day can't come soon enough!

Last few times I attempted entry at Terminal A, it went great. Pre-Check lane open, no line, less than 5 minutes and I was in the United Club.
When dropping off a rental car, going all the way to C, just to take the bus back to A, eats up a lot of time.
Agree with you. Can't wait til the new terminal is open.

Yes - I always allow an extra hour for the EWR Terminal A TSA circus (it took me 40 minutes today) -- but as someone that flies to DC all the time I can't stand that I'm now relegated exclusively to terminal A -- I used to be able to find flights to DCA from terminal C but alas -- they seem to be gone for now - or at least on my dates....

I am confused about your car rental dropoff note. Car rental is by P3, closer to Terminal A. Why would you need to go to Terminal C? Or are you going to C and taking the airside bus back to A?

Fortunately, I have never gotten stuck without TSA Pre (lite or full) in a few years now ex-EWR Terminal A.
I am confused about your car rental dropoff note. Car rental is by P3, closer to Terminal A. Why would you need to go to Terminal C? Or are you going to C and taking the airside bus back to A?
